I found the characters especially engaging. Reid is a hero I couldn't help but love and his grandmother, Gloria, really had me sitting up and paying extra attention! I loved the direction her personality takes - the journey was fun to follow. Lori comes across as the perfect woman for a playboy like Reid. She displayed an intriguing blend of sass, sarcasm, sexiness and a good dallop of sweetness too.
I have no doubt that Mallery fans will be heartily entertained with this delightfully crafted story!

The humor hits within the first couple of pages and stays with you for most of the story. I was laughing out loud and loving every moment. The characters are three-dimensional, richly crafted and certainly very colorful. The plot is full of unexpected - that's the keyword for this book! - twists and turns. Willow's character had me in love with her sassy and caring personality from the get-go. Kane is just the sort of hero I love to read about, quiet, brooding, tough, very alpha, and desperately trying to stay in control but losing the battle because of a woman!
I could say a lot more but I'll leave you to make your own decision about the story once you read the book. As far as I'm concerned, THE UNEXPECTED MILLIONAIRE is a winner and it's one of the best books I've read in a while!
