We'd love to know more about your corner of the world. Share your travel experiences please. Email me today!

I don't remember a time when I didn't love to read books. I love falling into books and being carried away with the characters into the stories. There's a magic in that which can't be equalled, don't you think?

I also love meeting other readers. It's just so neat to know someone living in Lebanon or Brazil or Italy loves a book just as much as you do or has the same reading taste as you... and then there are also those lively discussions when you meet someone at a local book club with an opposing view on the book you've just finished gushing over. Differing tastes and viewpoints make for an exciting friendship.

The internet is a wonderful place. I never imagined I'd meet so many diverse readers with such wide reading tastes - it's really opened my eyes to what's out there. What's even more fun is putting a face to a name for an online friend.

I'd like to invite all readers and authors out there who have enjoyed meeting new people via Leena's Goodie Room to share a little bit about yourself with me. I get some wonderful emails from you all, with stories about how you fell in love with books or a specific genre and who your favorite authors are. I'd love to hear more - but this time, I'd like to put it up on the site and share with everyone else.

So drop me a note and tell me who you are, where in the world you are, what you do for a living, who are your favorite authors and so on. I'd also love to know WHY you love to read. What makes a story good for you? Tell me everything and anything you want to share. And please include a photo of yourself or a venue in your town, city, state, country. I'd love to add your photo and information to my scrapbook so other readers can learn about you as well.

Authors, if you've got pictures to share from author or reader events, I'd love to have you share them in the Goodie Room Scrapbook. If you've had the chance to travel somewhere exotic or exciting in the name of research and you have photos or a story to tell of your experience, that would be very welcome too!

I attended the Emerald City Writers Conference last month and had a great time meeting old friends and making new ones. Thought I'd share some of the photos... I'm not very good with the camera but some of these turned out okay!

Ann DeFee & Alexa Darin
Ann DeFee & Alexa Darin
Alexa's got a new book out right now, KISSES DON'T LIE, and just sent me a load of goodies to share with readers. It's a totally fun read!

Christina Dodd & Susan Mallery
Christina Dodd & Susan Mallery
Susan introduced us and Christina signed up as a client! And doubly fun was lunch with Susan earlier that afternoon!

Jane Porter & Jennie Lucas
Jennie's a new author with Harlequin Presents. I'm so looking forward to her debut novel!

This is my friend, Sinclair. She wasn't attending the conference but she dropped by the hotel to spend some time with Susanna Carr and I. Fun!

Wonderfully talented Julia Quinn at the booksigning on Saturday.

This is Nancy Cochran, an online friend I've known for years! It was so cool to meet her for the first time.

It's always a pleasure to meet the lovely Susan Lyons.

Young-adult author, Serena Robar.

There was so much more happening at the conference but silly me, I forgot about my camera most of the time. Still, it was fun to capture these moments at least! I can't wait to attend again next year.
